LANSING — Gov. Rick Snyder signed a law increasing veteran admittance to specified occupational licenses on May 22.
“These bills honor our veterans’ dedication and commitment to our state and country,” Snyder said. “They will help connect our veterans to job opportunities that may have not been available otherwise.”
The legislation waives initial occupational, security business and alarm licensing fees for veterans. To be approved, veterans have to provide the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs with the right documents to confirm discharge and honorable conduct.
