DEARBORN — At approximately 1 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, observant citizens called 911 to report two suspicious individuals in the area of Vassar and Penn.
Dearborn Police responded to the area and located the subjects, 20-year-old male Joshua Danial Trezil,and a juvenile male. Property stolen from a nearby garage and several vehicles in the area were recovered.
Both suspects were arrested. The juvenile was taken to the Wayne County Youth Home and charges will be forthcoming. Dearborn Police executed a search warrant at one suspect’s home and recovered a great deal of stolen property.
Dearborn Police issued photos of the recovered items in an attempt to get people to come forward and claim their belongings.
“Due to the vigilance of concerned citizens and the rapid response of the police, two habitual serial criminals who have adversely impacted the security of the community have been removed from the streets,” Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said.
On June 6, Trezil, was arraigned in Dearborn before 19th District Court Judge Mark Somers in connection with the larcenies.
He was arraigned on charges that included possession of burglary tools, conspiracy to commit larceny, concealing stolen property and being a felon in possession of a firearm. His bond was set at $100,000 cash. A preliminary exam is scheduled for Friday, June 13 at 9 a.m.
