The ISNA convention is the largest Muslim gathering in the country. It is expected to have 20,000 attendees and generate $20 million in economic impact.
The convention is usually held in Washington D.C and Chicago. Mohiuddin, 31, is finishing his residency at Detroit Medical Center’s Sinai Grace Hospital and has joined community organizations to bring the convention to Detroit.
