DEARBORN HEIGHTS — Local resident Jumana Judeh was recently inducted as an Honorary Member of the Practicing Valuers Association of India (PVAI) due to her expertise on valuation methodologies and challenges. Such an honor has only been extended three other times since the organization’s inception in 1999. Judeh, who holds the prestigious designation of MAI from the Appraisal Institute, was recently invited to India to participate in PVAI’s 15th annual conference.
“To be invited to India and presented with such a high honor is truly humbling,” Judeh said.
Judeh was also the featured speaker at the conference where she addressed the issue of “Valuation in a Distressed Economy: Detroit As A Case Study.” In her 45-minute presentation, she discussed the impact of Detroit’s bankruptcy on property values and differentiated between the recent rise in investments in the City’s downtown versus the high abandonment rate within the neighborhoods.
