TROY — The Arab American and Chaldean Council (ACC), a premier nonprofit human service organization serving southeast Michigan, has relocated its headquarters to Troy from Lathrup Village.
The new office is located at 363 W. Big Beaver Road, third floor. Administrative staff members will be housed in the new 11,000-square-foot space, which will feature an expanded administrative office. ACC staff members started working at the new location Oct. 13.
“Our new space is centrally located between the three counties we serve, allowing us to better access our clients,” said Dr. Haifa Fakhouri, ACC President and CEO. “We are excited about this new space and look forward to becoming an active member of the Troy community.”
About 20 employees work at ACC’s new headquarters. Additionally, the ACC also operates 40 outreach offices throughout Wayne, Oakland and Macomb Counties, staffed with bilingual and trilingual staffs.
The ACC serves more than 70,000 clients in metropolitan Detroit. The organization’s programs include Pantry of Plenty – the twice-monthly food distribution event at its Detroit office, behavioral health, employment and training, social services and youth and recreational programs.
“ACC has been interested in moving its administrative office for a number of years but has been waiting for the right location and time,” said ACC staff member Kimberly Hassan. “ACC’s administrative office was in need of a new building. We had outgrown the previous building and look forward to our Oakland programs growing and providing space for those programs.”
The ACC’s phone and fax numbers will remain the same. To reach ACC headquarters call 248-559-1990.
