DEARBORN HEIGHTS — On Wednesday, Nov. 26, Project Dignity and HYPE Athletics Community will host its annual Thanksgiving Day Feed Detroit Campaign, presented by Fast Splash Car Wash, which plans to feed 1,000 Metro Detroit families. The event will be hosted from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the NSO (Neighborhood Services Organization) building on Third Street in Detroit.
In addition, HYPE will feed 1,000 families on Tuesday, November 25. HYPE will provide each family with a whole turkey, vegetables, stuffing, mashed potatoes, breads, beverages, dessert and more.
HYPE partnered with Fast Splash Car Wash, Meijer, Volunteers of America, UAW Ford, Comcast, Fifth Third Bank, Saad Meats, Greenland Market, Byblos Banquets, Habib’s Cuisine and Aaron Builders to provide 300 homeless and needy families in need for the Thanksgiving holiday.”
HYPE Athletics Community is a non-profit organization founded in 2001. Nahid Ayoub, the founder of Project Dignity says she is grateful for being able to partner up with the organization to help provide meals this holiday season to the needy. For years Ayoub, a community activist has volunteered her time to helping feed impoverished communities throughout metro Detroit, and been involved it other charitable efforts.
