LANSING — Earlier this month a bill passed in the state senate that would roughly double Michigan’s fuel tax to raise around $1 billion to repair roads.  According to retailers, the bill could make Michigan the state with the highest gas prices in the country. Many argue a different approach is needed to raise money to fix roads.
