DEARBORN — On Wednesday, Dec. 17 at about 11 p.m., Dearborn Police arrested Juan Nehzeh Simmons, a 33 year-old Romulus resident, after watching him enter several unlocked parked cars in the area in an apparent attempt to steal items from the vehicles. Police responded to the area after alert residents called to report a suspicious man pulling on car door handles.
When arrested, Simmons was found to be armed with a knife and also wanted on numerous outstanding warrants from various communities, including Hamtramck, Inkster, Plymouth, Romulus, Westland and Wayne County.
Simmons pleaded guilty in Dearborn’s 19th District Court to unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and violation of the knife ordinance and was sentenced to 45 days in jail.
