DEARBORN HEIGHTS — Four men are in police custody after a woman in her 40s was found dead on the side of the road in Dearborn Heights on Monday. Westland Police Sgt. Robert Wilkie said the woman was believed killed in that city and that tips helped lead police to the men.
According to investigators, a man went to Westland Police and notified them he was involved in the disposal of the body. He also provided police with tips on what led up to the death which is being described as gruesome to police. Police say some of the men are facing more serious charges than others.
The woman was badly beaten and naked when she was found by police. They were able to identify her through fingerprints. Police worked on contacting the woman’s loved ones after she was identified.
