DEARBORN — The Lebanese American Heritage Club (LAHC) is celebrating its 27th annual gala on Friday, May 8 at the Adoba Hotel in Dearborn. The last day to apply for a scholarship from the LAHC’s Arab American Scholarship Foundation Program is Monday, April 6.
Throughout the past 27-years, the program has awarded more than 1,200 students of high academic distinction more than $1.3 million dollars in scholarships. Scholarship recipients are honored at the gala. This year students can earn up to $18,000 per scholarship, renewable up to eight semesters.
To apply you must be a high school senior, undergraduate student or graduate student.
The monetary value of the scholarship varies from one academic institution to another, pending the matching agreement the LAHC has in place with the universities. The LAHC portion of the scholarship is directly deposited into the students’ accounts and matched by that particular university accordingly.
