PONTIAC — The 18-year-old father of a 7-month-old baby has been charged with first degree felony murder in the child’s death on Saturday.

Damon Horner was denied bond and will face a preliminary examination before Judge Ronda Gross on March 17.

The child, Aiden Logan, died as a result of cranial cerebral trauma. Horner had claimed the child had hit his head on a railing by accident.

Aiden had initially been brought to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital before being transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.

An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday, after Aiden’s organs were harvested for transplant on Monday.
