Dearborn – A Circle K Gas Station in West Dearborn was robbed twice last month likely by the same perpetrator, police said. The police department is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect.
On the evening of May 19 and early hours of May 30, armed robberies were committed at the Circle K Gas Station located at 25350 Michigan Ave. (Michigan and Gulley).
In the first incident, the perpetrator was a Black man, 16-18 years old, 5’6”-5’8” tall, with a thin build. He wore a dark colored hoodie with a thick white stripe running from his shoulder to his hip, a white number 3 on the right shoulder and a white-colored Polo emblem on the chest. He also wore blue jeans and gym shoes. In addition, the perpetrator wore a dark-colored mask over his face and brandished a semi- automatic hand gun. He fled the area north bound from the business on foot.
In the May 30 robbery, the suspect, who may have been the same person, again appeared to be 16-18 years old, 5’6”- 5’8”, with a thin build, wearing a dark colored Aeropostale hoodie with red writing, blue jeans and gym shoes. He wore a dark-colored mask over his face and brandished a semi- automatic hand gun. The suspect fled the area north bound on foot.
Both armed robberies were committed in the same manner.
Dearborn Chief of Police Ronald Haddad said violent crime will not be tolerated in the city.
“We anticipate receiving assistance from the community in identifying the suspect,” he added. “As always, we will dedicate all available resources and enlist the assistance of the community to identify and apprehend this suspect.”
