WEST BLOOMFIELD — During its 13th annual Golf Outing and Scholarship Awards Dinner on June 2, The Arab American and Chaldean Council (ACC) distributed 26 scholarships to high school seniors who plan on attending college this fall. The event took place at the Shenandoah Country Club.
Many of the scholarship recipients had grade point averages higher than a 4.0. and were involved in after school programs that benefit the community.
Over the years, ACC’s scholarship program has grown significantly. Event speakers included Faye Nelson, vice president of Public Affairs with the DTE Energy Foundation; Ronia Kruse, CEO of OpTech, LLC and Marilyn Blatnikoff, a recruiter with the Central Intelligence Agency.
