WOODHAVEN — Gov. Snyder has appointed Bill Saad, CEO of Michigan Fuels Inc., a leading brand wholesaler for ExxonMobil and Marathon Oil Company, and five others, to the newly created Underground Storage Tank Authority Board (USTAB).
Established by Public Act 416 of 2014, the six-member board will oversee the creation of a separate fund to pay for corrective action for leaking underground tanks and eligibility requirements of any potential claimants.
Appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the State Senate. Saad is an industry leader with almost 35 years of experience. He serves on the National Council Advisory Board for ExxonMobil and was elected to the board of the Michigan Petroleum Association. Additionally, he continues to support local community organizations and activities.
“It is an honor to be appointed to the USTAB by Gov. Snyder,” Saad said. “He understands the importance of our environment and preserving it for generations to come. I am pleased to be a part of this important board with other industry leaders, which together, bring a breadth of unparalleled knowledge.”
