DETROIT—This week Mitchelle Blair, 36, plead guilty to killing her two children and storing their bodies in a freezer. 

While in court Monday Blair, a Detroit resident told Judge Dana Hathaway, “I don’t feel any remorse for the death of those demons.” Blair faces life in prison with no parole. 

Authorities are seeking to end the parenting rights of Blair and the fathers of her two children. 

Blair said she would accept the death penalty if it was legal in Michigan. She was arrested in March after deputies carrying out an eviction of her Detroit apartment found the two bodies in the freezer. Blair said one of the children’s bodies was placed in the freezer in 2012 and another in 2013. 

Blair said she tortured and severely beat the children to death because they sexually assaulted a sibling, although she never witnessed the sexual assault.
