DEARBORN—The Dearborn Democratic Club is encouraging Michigan
members of congress and the senate to support the Iran Nuclear Deal.
A resolution passed unanimously in the general body of the
Dearborn Democratic Club stating, “The Dearborn Democratic Club thanks the
members of the Michigan Democratic Congressional delegation, John Conyers and
Sander Levin, for supporting President Obama’s and Secretary of State John
Kerry’s efforts in diplomacy with Iran. We urge all of our members of Congress
to announce their support for the treaty with Iran and vote accordingly.”
“In general, I think the consensus in the Middle East is that
the Iran Deal is strong and protects our allies interests as well as our own,” said Sami Khaldi, president of the Dearborn Democratic Club. “It protects the security of the United States and neighboring
countries and will help ensure allies like Jordan and Israel are able to verify
that Iran is not making nuclear weapons.”
The Dearborn Democratic Club has general body meetings on the
last Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the UAW Local 245 on Monroe in
Dearborn.
