DEARBORN — An unknown male armed with a chrome and black handgun robbed the CVS pharmacy at 13250 Ford Rd., on Sunday, Aug. 23 at approximately 9:55 a.m.
The police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the gunman. The suspect, is described as a black male, 40 years old, 5’10”, 260 lbs and bald. He was wearing a blue Orlando Magic hoodie, dark sunglasses and a dark baseball hat.
The suspect entered the CVS store at 9:55 a.m. just as the pharmacist was opening. He walked behind the pharmacy counter and held the pharmacist at gunpoint, forcing him to open the narcotics safe, and place numerous prescription medications into a bag.
The pharmacist described the bag as a blue bag with distinct lettering of “RX” printed on it. The suspect then forced the pharmacist to open the register drawer and had him place all the money into the bag. The suspect exited the store and was last seen leaving in a black SUV eastbound on Ford Rd.
The Dearborn Police Department is requesting assistance from the public to identify this individual. A photo of the suspect was captured on surveillance footage and is attached to this press release.
“These types of crimes will not be tolerated and we will utilize all available resources to apprehend the suspect responsible,” Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said. “It is only by the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies and the community that we can combat these crimes and bring these perpetrators to justice.”
