WESTLAND — The suspect who shot a gas station employee in Westland last week was arrested in Bay City on Wednesday, Allie Berry, vice-president of Armada Oil & Gas Company, said.
The gas station at the corner of Warren Ave. and Wayne Rd. is in a safe location across the street from Westland Mall. But that did not deter the suspect, who walked into the station unmasked, held the victim at gun point and shot him in the leg in cold blood.
Video footage show gunman ruthlessly ordering the wounded employee to empty the cash register before walking out, leaving the victim bleeding on the floor.
The victim is identified as Mohamad Saad.
“The attendant is doing fine,” said Berry, who is familiar with the situation. “It is a serious injury. It will take him some time to recover. But we hope that he will be okay.”
