NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP — Gov. Snyder has announced an advanced manufacturing technical center will be built by a Chinese auto supplier.
On Monday, Snyder announced that the auto supplier, CW Bearing USA Inc., will spend about $26 million on a Northville Township facility that will include an engineering and technical center and advanced manufacturing operations. The governor made the announcement after returning from his fifth trade trip to China, which included a meeting with company officials in Shanghai.
CW Bearing operates in Michigan, California and North Carolina. Snyder’s office said the company selected Michigan over other states for the headquarters and is getting both a state performance-based grant and local tax relief.
The facility is expected to create 125 jobs. CW Bearing makes bearing components used in electronic power steering systems.
