DEARBORN – Dearborn police are investigating an incident at a Speedway gas station on Michigan Ave. and Outer Drive after a suspect in an attempted carjacking was shot.
A driver pulled into the Speedway Gas Station to pump gas when two men approached him, reached into his car for his cell phone, and started yelling for his wallet. They also started punching the driver in the face.
According to witnesses, the driver retaliated by pulling out a gun and firing a shot at one of the suspects. The two men quickly took off, but police quickly caught up with the man who was shot and arrested him.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition. According to police, one arrest was also made.
