Dearborn – Three suspects have been arrested for a car jacking that occurred at a Dearborn McDonald’s drive-thru.

On October 12, at 3:00 a.m, Dearborn Police received a report of an armed carjacking that occurred at the McDonald’s restaurant located at 7300 Wyoming, Dearborn.
The victim reported that upon pulling into the drive through of the restaurant in her 2006 Ford Fusion three suspects, whom were hiding nearby, approached the driver side of the vehicle, produced a gun and ordered her from the vehicle. The suspects then entered the vehicle and fled the scene.
A short time later the vehicle was located by Detroit police officers in the city of Detroit. The information was quickly passed to the Dearborn Police Department.
Dearborn police officers responded to the area and observed the stolen vehicle being driven in the area of Mt. Elliot and I-94 bysubjects matching the description given to police by the victim.
Working in conjunction with the Detroit Police Department’s Commercial Auto Theft Section, Dearborn officers took four suspects into custody, 3 adults and one juvenile, after a brief foot pursuit. During the arrest officers recovered a firearm believed to have been used in the crime, the victim’s vehicle, along with additional evidence linking the arrestees to the crime.
The three suspects arrested were; Charles Brown Jr., a 19 year-old Detroit resident, who was arraigned on charges of Carjacking, Armed Robbery, Unlawful Driving Away of Automobile, Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property, Obstructing a Police Officer, Possessing a Stolen Financial Transaction Device (2 counts) and Felony Firearm.
Dontrail Taylor, a 17 year-old Detroit resident, was arraigned on charges of Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property, Obstructing a Police Officer, and Felony Firearm.
Kortez Miller, a 19 year-old Detroit resident, was arraigned on a charge of Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property.
The defendants were arraigned by Magistrate Doraid Elder of the 19th District Court. Magistrate Elder set bond at $75,000 and required the defendants to be subject to GPS tether monitoring.
Pre-trial is scheduled for October 23, 2015, at 9:00 AM at the 19th District Court.
The arrested juvenile has similar charges pending in the Wayne County Juvenile Court.
“These types of crimes will not be tolerated and we will continue to utilize all available resources to apprehend the suspectsresponsible for any crime. It is only by the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies and the community that we were able to bring these perpetrators to justice,” Dearborn Police Chief Ron Haddad said.
