FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP — The body of an Inkster fisherman who was reported missing last month at Sterling State Park was found in Lake Erie, according to police.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department said the body of 53-year-old Stanley Eliot Moore was found Wednesday in the lake, about 100 feet from the shoreline of the park in Frenchtown Township.

Moore’s family reported him missing on Oct. 25. His fishing gear was found near the channel where his body was discovered on the shoreline.

An autopsy is planned to determine cause of death.
