DEARBORN — The Islamic Institute of Knowledge held its semi-annual fundraising dinner on Sunday. Hundreds of people, including community activists and elected officials, attended the event.

Ayatollah Abdul Latif Berry stressed the importance of unity and morality in the community.

The institute holds religious services and runs charitable and school programs.
