DEARBORN― Several homes have recently been invaded in Dearborn and surrounding communities.

The Dearborn Police Department, who is investigating the crimes along with nearby agencies, said the suspect enters the homes through ground-floor unlocked doors and windows with the intent of committing a sexual assault.

The invasions usually occur during the early morning hours and are believed to be related to similar incidents from a number of years.

The suspect is described as a six-foot tall man with a thin build. His race is unknown.

“Our citizens must remain vigilant in securing their homes paying particular attention to first floor entry access points to include windows, doors and door walls,” stated Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad.

Haddad encourages residents to immediately report suspicious activity to the police.
