DEARBORN — A Dearborn resident was killed in the terrorist attack that hit the southern Beirut suburb of Borj el-Barajne on Thursday. Leila Mazloum died in the double suicide bombing that claimed 45 lives.
Mazloum recently became a permeant resident and went back to Lebanon 10 days ago to bring her family to the United States. She had four children, one of whom lives here.
“She was a great person,” said her sister Fatima Mazloum. “The family is devastated.”
Also Leila Talib, whose brother Mahdi Talib is a local resident, died with her husband Hussein Mustafa in the bombing.
Services will be held for Talib at the Islamic Center of America, Friday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m.
ISIS claimed responsibility for the bombs, which were detonated by explosive belts, minutes apart from each other.
