Diverse: Issues In Higher Education, an academic magazine, named prominent Arab American law professor Khaled Beydoun as an “Emerging Scholar Under 40.”
The magazine, which focuses on issues concerning diversity in American higher education, recognizes 12 young scholars every year.
The list includes individuals, “recognized for the uniqueness of their fields of study, as well as their commitment to service and teaching, these scholars represent some of the brightest minds in the nation.”
Beydoun, who teaches at the university of Miami, Florida, is an outspoken advocate of academic diversity and racial justice.
“Not sure if I’m more excited about the Award. Or that I’m still under 40,” Beydoun joked on Facebook.
