DEARBORN — Attorney Helal Farhat has been appointed as a part time 19th District Court Magistrate, filling a vacancy left by former magistrate Adel Harb, who last month was appointed to the 3rd Circuit Court by Governor Snyder.

Farhat attended Wayne State University Law school where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 2002. In private practice since his admittance to the bar, he has served numerous large, medium and small companies and individuals with legal issues ranging from starting companies to complex business litigation.

Outside of his work, Farhat has been an active member of the community. He is involved with several organizations, including being a board member of the Arab-American Civil Rights League. 

Farhat is the Principal attorney at Farhat & Associates, PLLC, a Dearborn based law firm that specializes in commercial and business litigation, criminal law, family law and immigration.
