HOLLYWOOD
– While Hillary Clinton boasts A-list celebrity backing such as actor George
Clooney and pop superstars Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and Katy Perry –
Republican frontrunner Donald Trump seems to be racking up an unimpressive
roster of celebrity supporters.
Tila
Tequila, the reality television personality and flat-earth conspiracy
theorist, posted a YouTube video voicing her support for the
candidate in October.
In
September, pro wrestling Hall-of-Famer Hulk Hogan not only endorsed Trump, but
he voiced the desire to become the Republican frontrunner’s veep.
Actor Stephen Baldwin, who appeared twice as a contestant on Trump’s Celebrity
Apprentice in 2008 and All-Star Celebrity Apprentice in 2013, also
expressed support for him.
“I
think he’d make a great president. He’s not a politician, and he doesn’t care
what anybody thinks. And that’s why he’s surging in the polls,” Baldwin said.
Former
teen pop singer Aaron Carter also expressed support for Trump on Twitter,
before facing heavy backlash.
Former
heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson made his view of the candidate very
clear late last year.
“He
should be president of the United States. He should be president of the United
States. That’s what he should be. He should be president of the United States,”
Tyson said.
But
not all of Trump’s celebrity endorsements are washed up, has-been D-listers.
Trump’s
biggest celebrity endorsement comes from none other than a Michigan native.
Singer Kid Rock told Rolling Stone last
month that he’s “digging Trump.”
“My
feeling: let the [expletive] business guy run it like a [expletive] business,”
Rock said. “And his campaign has been entertaining as [expletive].”
Meanwhile,
A-list celebrities have expressed plans to leave the country if Trump becomes
President in November.
Superstars
from Miley Cyrus, Cher, Samuel L. Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O’Donnell
have publicly expressed fears of living in the U.S. with Trump as president.
“I don’t think that’s America. I don’t want it
to be America. Maybe it’s time for me to move,” Goldberg said on daytime talk show The View.
