DEARBORN — On Tuesday May 4,
at approximately 3:30am, Dearborn Police Officers observed a suspicious
occupied vehicle in the area of Hollywood and Ash and established surveillance
on the vehicle.
Officers observed the two occupants enter
several unlocked vehicles within the neighborhood and attempt to enter several
others; though they could not gain entry because these vehicles were locked.
The suspects were arrested, numerous stolen
items were recovered in their vehicle, and it was discovered that the vehicle
the suspects were driving was stolen out of Dearborn Heights earlier in the
week.
The, both Dearborn residents, were
identified as twenty-one year old Allan Askar and twenty-five year old Hanna Siupi.
The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office
charged Askar with the following;
Unlawful Driving
Away of an Automobile (UDAA), Receiving and Concealing a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Receiving
and Concealing Stolen Property $1000-$20,000, Felony Breaking and Entering a
Motor Vehicle with Damage, License Plate Forgery, three counts of Felony
Larceny from Auto , thee counts of Felony Possession of a Stolen Financial
Transaction Device and six counts
Misdemeanor Breaking and Entering Motor Vehicle.
Siupix was charged with the following; Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property
$1000-$20,000, Felony Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle with Damage,
three counts of
Felony Larceny from Auto, three counts of Felony Possession of a Stolen
Financial Transaction Device and six counts of Misdemeanor Breaking and
Entering Motor Vehicle
They were arraigned in the 19th District
Court by the Honorable William Hultgren. Askar’s bond was set at $25,000/10%
and Siupik’s was set at $25,000 Cash.
Both are prohibited from returning to the area and will be required to
wear a GPS tether if they post bond.
