DEARBORN – Police arrested an Arab male after observing him entering several unlocked vehicles in the area of Hubbard St. and Greenfield Rd.
Police recognized the man as18-year-old Hamed Al-Nassiri, who arrested just a few days earlier.
Officers arrested Al-Nassiri and located several items presumed to be stolen in his backpack. An electronic device and money, specifically, belonged to a resident’s vehicles was recovered. A further investigation revealed he entered the same resident’s unlocked garage, rummaging through items in the garage and stealing mechanical equipment.
Al-Nassiri was charged with Felony Larceny from MV, Misdemeanor Larceny from MV and Breaking and Entering by the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
He was arraigned in the 19th District Court before Judge William Hultgren.
He was issued $10,000 10% Bond with No Victim Contact and GPS Tether upon release. Al-Nassiri was given a Probable Cause Conference date of September 30 at 9:00 AM and a Preliminary Exam date of October 7 at 9:00 AM.
“Officers are vigilant in patrolling our neighborhoods in order to keep our citizens safe and protect their property. This subject has an extensive history and has victimized our citizens on numerous occasions. Crime prevention is a collaborative effort between the police and our community and I urge citizens to be attentive in securing their vehicles, garages, and homes,” Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad stated.
