MACKINAC ISLAND — During the Michigan Municipal League’s board of trustees meeting on September 14, Dearborn Mayor Jack O’Reilly, the league’s board president, received the William L. Steude Award, which credits recipients for their noteworthy accomplishment in ethics and civility in local government. It’s among the most distinguished awards bestowed by the Michigan Association of Municipal Attorneys (MAMA).
“During my tenure with the Michigan Municipal League board, I’ve always appreciated working with the MAMA organization on a range of issues affecting local governments,” O’Reilly said. “I am proactively supportive of MAMA on various legal initiatives. This is a humbling surprise and something that indicates colleagues truly appreciate collaboration on issues that are important to the citizens of Michigan.”
The award is presented in honor of William L. Steude, previous general counsel of the Michigan Municipal League.
