HAMTRAMCK, MI (WXYZ)- Hamtramck High School is closed for the day due to bomb threats against the school.
A heavy police presence could be seen at the school. Bomb-sniffing dogs and the bomb squad responded as a precaution. Hamtramck police, Detroit police and Highland Park police were also on scene.
After the all-clear was given, teachers were allowed back inside the school.
Students were evacuated from the school Wednesday morning after two threats were made. The first threat was called into the Detroit Police Department. Hamtramck Police Department was then notified. The nature of the second threat is not being revealed at this time.
Officers at the school were turning away students and parents Wednesday morning.
