DEARBORN — DTE Energy invites Dearborn residents and business owners in the area enclosed by Chase Road and E. Moross Circle, and W. Warren and Tireman to a May 24 public meeting about the extensive gas meter and gas line replacement project in their neighborhood.
The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24 at the Henry Ford Centennial Library, 16301 Michigan Ave.
The company’s gas renewal program is continuing natural gas infrastructure advancements in Dearborn in an effort to secure dependable delivery of energy for customers well into the future.
The program is a widespread attempt that needs the home and building owners’ assistance.
DTE Energy representatives will discuss the intended construction work, which includes entering homes to relocate gas meters outside and upgrading the devices to advanced meters.
Crews will also upgrade cast-iron and steel natural gas mains as well as steel and copper natural gas service lines. This work will disrupt easements in front of properties.
Residents cannot opt out of the plan.
