Dearborn Heights — The police and Fire Departments recently celebrated the addition of new employees during swearing-in ceremonies at the Dearborn Heights City Hall. Two new Police Officers were sworn in at a March 19 ceremony, and one new firefighter was sworn in at a March 26 ceremony.
Police officers:
Ahmed Alhalili, a 4-year veteran of security/law enforcement, most recently with the Highland Park Police Department and the Transportation Security Administration. He is a graduate of Fordson High School, a graduate of Henry Ford College’s Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Program, and holds an International Business and Management Degree from Eastern Michigan University.
Zyke Bailey, a 2-year veteran of law enforcement, most recently with the Detroit Police Department. He is a graduate of the Taylor Truman High School, a graduate of the Detroit Police Academy, and attended Northwood University.
Firefighters:
Albert Tannus, a 13-year veteran of the EMT/Paramedic industry, most recently with the Warren Fire Department – as well as an adjunct professor of EMT/Paramedic services and protocols at Baker College. He completed Superior Medical Education’s EMT/Paramedic Training Program, and completed Schoolcraft College’s Firefighting Education Levels 1 & 2, and AED and Hazmat Operations programs.
