DEARBORN — The League of Women Voters Dearborn-Dearborn Heights and the American Association of University Women will present a Michigan Truth Tour stop in Dearborn on Saturday, Oct. 20 at Christ Episcopal Church.
The Center for Michigan and Bridge Magazine created the Michigan Truth Tour with the goal of informing Michigan citizens through fact-based, non-partisan journalism that helps citizens navigate civic life.
League of Women Voters members will attend and provide voter service information.
The Truth Tour stop includes a screening of a documentary and a follow up discussion. Filmed in 2017, “Michigan Divided” chronicles the lives of Michigan voters across political, socioeconomic and racial lines. The hour-long documentary captures a deeply divided culture from the Upper Peninsula to Lansing, Flint, Detroit and Grand Rapids. But it also illustrates shared values.
Located at wheelchair-accessible Christ Episcopal Church on N. Military, the event takes place from 10 to 11:30 a.m., is open to the public and free of charge. There will be light refreshments and convenient parking next to the church.
