LANSING — The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) is expected to recommend the passing of a resolution to maintain safe patient access to medical marijuana by allowing licensed provisioners to buy from licensed caregivers, according to a press release.
The proposal would allow dispensaries to buy and sell marijuana from caregivers through January, and growers to buy from caregivers until March. For more information and full proposed rules and guidelines, visit www.michigan.gov/lara. The proposal is being discussed in preparation for the recently passed Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marijuana Act (Proposal 1), which will go into effect on December 6.
