DEARBORN — To celebrate the special month of Ramadan, the city will host an official event, along with the West Dearborn DDA, for the first time this year.
“Ramadan Nights in West Downtown Dearborn” will be a fun and safe family-friendly event for residents and visitors.
The 2023 Ramadan season activities will take place every week, for a month, from Thursday, March 23 through Friday, April 21 from 10 p.m.- 2 a.m. Food trucks, family-friendly games and informational tents will be available all along West Village Drive between Mason and Monroe Streets.
To ensure everyone’s safety, West Village Drive, and the adjacent parking lot, will be closed to vehicular traffic starting early each Thursday until 7 a.m. on Monday mornings. Parking Lot H (besides Wagner Parking Deck) will also be closed during the event.
All other roads and other parking lots will be open. Residents and those attending the event are encouraged to park in the Wagner Parking Deck using the entrance on Monroe Street.
Every week, there will be 12 participating food trucks and one civic engagement stand hosted by ACCESS. Aside from a great selection of food, beverage and gathering options, there will also be entertaining lawn games for friends and families to enjoy.
