DEARBORN — The three traditional high schools — Fordson, Dearborn and Edsel Ford — will host their homecoming events on Friday, Oct. 10.
The events will include afternoon parades and evening football games the community is invited to attend to celebrate the district and the students.
The events will begin at Fordson High School at 13800 Ford Road, where the parade will start at 4:30 p.m. The parade will begin behind the school, travel along Alber and Neckel Streets before ending on Horger Street before the Fordson Tractors play against the Chargers of Livonia Churchill at 7 p.m.
Edsel Ford’s parade will begin at 4:45 p.m. from the staff parking lot behind the school at 20601 Rotunda and travel down Pelham Road west to Westminster Court, north on Audette to Rotunda (Village Road) before returning to the student parking lot. Spectators are encouraged to line Audette to see the parade before the Edsel Ford Thunderbirds play against the Lincoln Park Railsplitters at 7 p.m.
Dearborn High’s parade will also start at 4:45 p.m., starting from the student parking lot across the street from the school at 19501 Outer Drive before traveling north on South York, left on Fordson to South Highland, north to Marshall, east on Marshall to South York and back to Outer Drive. The Dearborn High Pioneers will play against the Zebras of Wayne Memorial High School at 7 p.m.
All parades will include the marching bands, homecoming courts, floats and student groups. Students from the middle and elementary schools were also invited to participate.
All three games will be broadcast on the NFHS network streaming service.
