DEARBORN HEIGHTS — A free kidney health screening will take place on Saturday, November 2 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Islamic Institute of America, 26305 Ford Road in Dearborn Heights, 48127.

The event, which is being put on by the Institute and the Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Program, will include a free kidney health screening.

Also included are free blood pressure checks, health education, body mass index (BMI) measurements, urinalysis tests, blood glucose readings and much more.

More than 30 million Americans suffer from Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), the event’s flier states, which often goes unnoticed until it is found in its advanced stages. The free, non-invasive screening will be followed by a private consultation with a physician, all within 30-45 minutes.
