Dearborn – Reem Alsaidi has been located safely.
The 14-year-old Dearborn resident had last been seen leaving her home early on Jan. 11 with an unknown individual.
“I would like to thank our community for their concern and assistance,” said Dearborn Police Chief Ron Haddad. “With the help of our local, state and federal partners we were able to find Ms. Alsaidi safely.”
The Dearborn Police Department had asked for the public’s assistance in locating Alsaidi. Investigators had tried pinging her cell phone to gain her location without any luck.
Dearborn Police believe that on Saturday, January 11, at 5:15 a.m., Alsaidi willingly left her Dearborn home with an unknown person. Video shows her entering a white or gray sedan that pulled up in front of her residence.
It was not immediately apparent what occurred in the days since Alsaidi was reported missing or the circumstances of her recovery.
