WASHINGTON, D.C. – The following is a message from Emgage Action:
The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented global health emergency, especially for vulnerable populations like the Palestinians. Cases are on the rise in the entire region and people on the ground have little to no resources to combat the outbreak.
The U.S. government has funding available through the Migration and Refugee Assistance and Economic Support Fund for immediate obligation to address this deteriorating humanitarian situation. As we confront the crisis here at home, contact your representatives in Congress today and request that they endorse the letter by U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Dearborn) calling on the administration to keep Palestinians safe by utilizing these funds.
It only takes two minutes to urge your representatives to join Rep. Dingell’s letter to help provide health workers the resources they need to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. Click on this link to fill out a quick form and join Dingell’s appeal for much needed relief for a truly vulnerable part of the world:
Contact your member of Congress today and urge them to take appropriate actions to keep Palestinians safe. COVID-19 knows no borders and the pandemic has now reached the Gaza Strip with cases beginning to inexorably rise in a place with few resources to combat the outbreak.

April 14, 2020 at 10:20 pmDuring these dark days for humanity, we need to stand by our fellow man, not only because it is the right thing, but also because it is the necessary thing to do for our collective benefit. The Palestinian people are facing this scary pandemic with hardly any resources. Denying them aid is tantamount to cruel disregard for their right to life. Time is of the essence.
