Testing is available by appointment seven days a week. Health care professionals will be on site to oversee the testing, which takes about 30 minutes from the collection of the swab to the delivery of results. Patients are required to stay in their vehicles at the testing site.

Dearborn’s testing site is using the Abbot Laboratory-designed Abbot ID NOW™ COVID-19 test. The city of Detroit also recently purchased testing technology from Abbot, whose fast testing tech is now approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the fastest detection of the virus. The state is also providing security, personal protective equipment supplies for the team administering the tests and on-the-ground logistics.
