DEARBORN – Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged a man in connection with a non-fatal shooting that took place at a banquet hall.
Haider Mohammed Al-Jebori, 60, of Dearborn Heights, has been charged with assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, discharge in or at a building, felonious assault and four counts of felony firearm.
He was arraigned Tuesday morning in 19th District Court before Judge Sam Salamey and given a $500,000 cash bond.
A probable cause conference is scheduled for 8 a.m. on Oct. 24 before Judge Mark Somers.
The charges are in connection with a shooting in the 5100 block of South Oakman Blvd. in Dearborn.
On Oct. 13 at about 7:13 p.m. Dearborn police officers were dispatched to a banquet hall in the 5100 block of South Oakman Blvd. for a reported shooting.
Upon their arrival, officers made contact with Al-Jebori.
It is alleged that he produced and fired a handgun multiple times inside of the hall.
No one was injured in the shooting.
