DEARBORN — On May 24, more than 500 people attended “Palestine: 60 Years of Resilience” to commemorate 60 years of Nakba.

Held at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn, the event was sponsored by American Muslims of Palestine, Michigan Citizens for Palestinian Rights (Michigan), GlobalLink Group and Drs. Daad and Khalil Katato, among others.

Keynote speakers included Dr. Hasan Sanallah and Noura Erekat. 

There were also cultural activities including songs, poetry and a showing of folk dresses.
