The Dearborn Stars maintained first place in the Michigan Premier League Open Division standings with a 3-1 win over Port Huron on June 15.
Come out and support your first place Dearborn Stars soccer club, which features pro players from Lebanon, tonight at 7 p.m. against United at the Civic Center Field near the Ford Performing Arts Center. Admission is free and the players are anxious to get some fan support while the International Arab Festival is going on.
Captain Mouine Salame called United the best team in Michigan right now and talked about the Stars’ performance.
“The team is doing real good, we’re playing better ball together now that we have been together for a while,” he said.
“It feels good to be in first place, but this game will be a big measuring stick to see how far we’ve come.”
