Applications available for both primary and general elections
DEARBORN — Dearborn voters who are unable to make it to the polls for the August 5 state primary election may apply for an absentee ballot.

The Clerk’s Office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. It will have special hours on Saturday, August 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for voters to obtain absentee ballots.
Mail-in requests for absentee ballots may be turned in at the Clerk’s Office through 2 p.m. on August 2.
The legally acceptable reasons for obtaining an absentee ballot include:
• Age 60 or older.
• Physically unable to attend the polls without assistance.
• Expect to be absent from your community
Call the Clerk’s Office at 313-943-2010 if you have questions about obtaining an absentee ballot, or any other election-related issues.
