The annual holiday tradition of the tree lighting and a community sing-along is to begin at 6 p.m. at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Avenue.
The event includes musical performances and Santa Claus is scheduled to make an appearance.
The Blue Fusion Vocal Jazz Ensemble from Henry Ford Community College will perform outdoors at 6 p.m.
At 7 p.m., members of the Verdi Opera Theatre of Michigan, Dearborn Public Schools’ Honors Choir and the Dearborn High School Symphony Orchestra will perform inside the center’s Michael A. Guido Theater.
The treelighting ceremony and a community sing-along led by O’Reilly will follow the performance.
The event, refreshments, candy canes and all, is free to the public.
