DEARBORN — Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox spoke at a fundraising dinner at Byblos Banquet Hall in Dearborn on Thursday, June 18 that was organized by retired Wayne County Deputy Chief Marwan Taleb.

Cox is running for the Michigan gubernatorial nomination from the state’s Republican Party against five other candidates.

“I’ve known Mike Cox for close to 20 years and I feel like this is a man who can help the community’s businesses when he becomes governor,” Taleb said.

Cox told the diverse crowd of attendees that the Arab American community would have a place at the table should he be elected governor.
