AMMAN — Jordanian pianist Zade Al-Dirani’s concert “One Night in Jordan: A Concert for Peace,” is to air on PBS Saturday, Sep. 11 at 9:30 p.m. The concert is in honor the late King Hussein of Jordan (1935-1999) who had resolved to bring peace to the Middle East.

Zade is a 29 year old pianist who was born in Amman, Jordan and began composing at age 16, with his first concert at 19. The album for “One Night in Jordan” debuted at number two on Billboard’s New Age Chart.

This concert marks his first TV special for Public Television in the U.S. and Canada. Zade and 100 musicians from 40 nations traveled to Jordan “to celebrate the power of music, and promote world peace.” The concert was presented in a historical setting and filmed at one of the world’s largest remaining Roman amphitheatres.

The concert features Zade performing with the world renowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London, the prestigious London Voices Choir, and a variety of guest musicians. For more information visit www.zade.com
