Bill Saad, the president and founder of Michigan Fuels, hopes that the spirit of giving exhibited at the party this year can continue to grow and spread to other distributors as well as part of a collaboration.
Michigan Fuels dealers, vendors, and other employees raised $10,000 for the Mott University of Michigan-Ann Arbor Children’s Hospital from the event.
“Hopefully we can put a committee together with major oil companies and dealers in the community and maybe start a program giving something back to the children’s hospital every year,” Saad said.
The party brought together a group of various people from religious backgrounds ranging from Muslims to Christians to Jews and allowed the employees to mingle and discuss business ideas.
Michigan Fuels, based in Woodhaven, is one of the largest Exxon Mobil distributors in the country and the company has been in business for 25 years according to Saad.
